You’re not going to want to skimp on the free stuff. Deliver exactly what you promise in exchange for their email address. Some people give away the freebie right from the thank you page. This is the page that they visit after submitting their email address. While others may use an autoresponder and provide a link in an email to the free item. It’s probably best to just get it out of the way and put it on the thank you page. This way the person knows you’re serious and not trying to pull a fast one on them. You can also up sell on your thank you page and even promote other things. You may have YouTube videos that you’d like your new subscriber to watch. There’s no reason why you can’t tell them about the videos or anything else.
It’s vital that you actually deliver on your promise. Delivery of the free item should be as instant as possible. No one wants to wait around for days to receive a free ebook. Some people make the mistake of sending out their freebies manually. This is one of the dumbest things a marketer can do. Set up a thank you page or make use of autoresponders. Whichever way you choose, it doesn’t matter. What matters most is following through on your promise.
Don’t underestimate the power of landing pages
It can be very easy to overlook this one very important aspect of your business. After all, there’s so many other things that you have to focus on. This isn’t something that you can brush aside.
